Local Calling Area describes the places where you can call from your local telephone without paying a long distance charge.
Extended Area Service (EAS) is how you can get toll free calling to a wider area than just your local calling area. This service costs $5.00 per month if your telephone number begins with 749 or 448.
The tables below will tell you where you can call in your local and EAS calling areas.
To determine your local calling area:
- First locate the first three digits of your telephone number to the left of the chart.
- Then locate the area you are calling in the columns on the top of the chart.
- Columns intersecting in boxes with a "LD" are long distance, columns intersecting in boxes with "EA" are Extended Area Service, and the columns intersecting in boxes with "X"are within the local calling area.
